Welcome to the Spearfish Canyon Foundation website. We have recently changed the look of the site and added new features, donation mechanisms and updated information. It is our hope that these improvements will encourage you to join us in preserving and protecting the Spearfish Canyon area.
The Spearfish Canyon Foundation has many goals, but our current priority is to battle the damaging Mountain Pine Beetle epidemic that is sweeping through the Black Hills.
In partnership with the Save Spearfish Canyon Coalition (SSCC) and many others, we are taking aggressive steps to minimize the impact of the current Mountain Pine Beetle population in and around Spearfish Canyon.
By cutting currently infested trees and limiting the future movement of the beetles, we will save the region’s beauty for future generations to enjoy.
Throughout this website, you will see a Donate button. All donations will go directly toward our fight against the pine beetle’s encroachment into Spearfish Canyon. Please donate to this important cause and encourage others to do the same.
We will be using the “What’s New” section of this site to share more information about these and other efforts. Check back often to see our latest updates and learn more about how you can help.
